How to listen to your Body. Health warning signs you should'nt ignore
You feel weak and tired all the time, your back aches, even most of all, you experience mood swings. It's becoming frequent. but you're telling yourself, I can manage. hmmm. We don't manage health. we address it immediately. be it mental health or otherwise, your health is non-negotiable.
what if your body is trying to warn you about a danger ahead? and you are busy ignoring.
Research shows that most recorded death rates are as a result of untreated health issues be it small or big.
An average Nigerian will take his or her health seriously by paying attention to symptoms causing discomfort
I have seen many lose their lives due to negligence. ignoring and postponing those symptoms isn't a smart way to avoid spending or an avenue to show that you are a strong African ( bold and strong).
if it knocks you down, those empty lies in your head will vanish
Here are common signs people ignore
1. Unexplained weight changes.
you just noticed your body starts reducing, or even increasing. This could be an indicator of Hormonal imbalance or nutritional deficiency. rather obesity.
Always check your weight to keep track of these changes. it helps to unveil patterns of your historical health changes.
2. constant fatigue.
This event could be linked to poor diet, stress, or underlying conditions.
Follow it by seeking proper medical attention
3. Mood swings
This is another sensitive area we mostly neglect.
you are having a mood swing, and you normalize it? no. trace the root cause of it first before normalizing it. This area, I call it the doorway to mental health challenge. Your mental health is not stable when your mood swings without control, and most time, the cause of it cannot be traced.
this could be anxiety, etc. Please, whenever you notice this, drop whatever you are doing and give it maximum attention
Tips to stay healthy
For me, I keep this part simple.
1. Drink water frequently.
This simple technique is widely acceptable and it does the magic. don't be dehydrated. that's why sometimes you do have headaches. Drink plenty of water. it does not only hydrates your body, it also detoxifies it.
what a natural medicine you have at a platter. water plays a major role in your body.
one way to know if your body has gauge up with water is by checking the color of your urine. if it's not pure, then you need to grab some water. please, properly treated water is key to avoid Typhoid .
2. Exercise Daily.
You might be busy at work, and might not have time for this, just take alternative steps like taking a walk, stretching, and even yoga.
you don't need to hit the gym, you can do something in your home. (Homemade gym) The aim is to keep fit.
Ensure you do at least one exercise daily. it builds endurance, keep your mind and body fit.
3. Always Embrace Happiness
The state of your mind determines the outcome of your life. once your mind is down, your health drops drastically. Managing how you feel and not allowing people or situations to do it for you will save you a whole lot.
you are the pilot of your path, protect how you feel by loving who you are, and knowing that life is in stages. build confidence in yourself, and always initiate self-love.
Always be happy. Smile always, laugh too, it's a medicine, don't be too serious all the time. Have some fun that will calm your nerves,
Your body whispers before it screams. you don't have to delay till it becomes an emergency situation.
you see that feeling right now, tackle it now. Get help, don't be ashamed of what is bothering you, or else you will die in silence.
