one unexpected bill can ruin you---unless you read this
Today in our society, many are trying to develop themselves by taking courses like an emotional intelligence course, and others. They neglect the most interesting one, which is "Financial intelligence."
This skill is trending. might not be visible to you at the moment, but on a silent move.
Hiring firms nowadays seek this skill set from applicants. Worse of all, they won't tell you. Because it's their yardstick for measuring financial intelligence.
I have seen many lose their jobs, some didn't even get the job after applying because the hiring firms saw what they couldn't see for themselves, financial intelligence.
One thing this skill has taught me is ; planning is a security measure taken to comfortably spread your wings and fly.
Financial literacy is not just a security measures taken, but now a survival technique in this part of the country.
Imagine holding your breath for 30mins,or even more? You'll choke. That is how not having financial literacy will be. Mostly in tough times.
You will agree with me that sometime in your life, you have experienced a moment where you can't give a proper account of how you used a bulk money for. you kept wondering how you spent your money because you can't point a tangible item you bought with it. The truth is, this cry won't stop. and the sad part is, Unexpected bills won't stop coming as well.
As you are planning for the expected bills, also prepare for the unexpected bills. They are like weeds; they grow alongside your plants.
Stop focusing on the plants alone; tackle the weeds. How do you tackle these weeds?
Have a plough-back fund. In life, the simplest task happens to be the most difficult to do. people prefer the complicated ones instead. By the time you notice you are belittling a task, by procrastination, and neglect, know that that's the beginning of your stunted growth. Don't complicate things for yourself.
Having a plough-back fund isn't just a savings culture. its a ''defense mechanism'', and a ''survival technique''.
Stop seeing unexpected bills as a witch hunt from your family or friends. unexpected bills are part of the billing process. Learn to draft its own budget. You don't have to make it elaborate. No matter how small, keep something for unexpected bills.
This singular act can save you from an Emergency bill. it might not be 100%, but it will relief you off some financial burden. if you keep at it more, it will completely be your 911.
You can decide the percentage to plough back. either 10%, 15%, or more, depending on your financial structuring.
Don't be Emotional. Emotional intelligence is key towards helping you overcome the doubts, feelings, and fight back against your reasoning.
Please don't be emotional about your planning, but be intentional about actualizing it. its easy to write down your strategies, trust me, when that money comes, you will even forget you had a plan. Unexpected bills are so loud that they will distract you from the expected bills. Stop falling victim to these recurring symptoms.
Every sickness has its symptoms. we don't treat the symptoms but the illness itself.
Handle your finances with due diligence.
See you at the top
